Summary

The Business Financial Analyst & MIS Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making by combining deep financial analysis with robust management information systems expertise. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial reports, developing forecasting models, and ensuring data integrity across systems. By partnering closely with business units, the role provides actionable insights to optimize efficiency, support loan pricing strategies, and enhance profitability. The analyst also ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, supports audits, and leverages MIS dashboards to deliver clear, data-driven narratives for management and board-level reporting.

Responsibilities

1. Financial Analysis & Reporting 
• Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances to support decision
making. 
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for the Bank and 
Business units 
• Support budgeting and strategic planning processes. 
2. Management Information Systems (MIS) 
• Design, maintain, and enhance MIS dashboards and reporting tools. 
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data across systems. 
• Collaborate with IT and business units to improve data integration and 
reporting automation. 
• Provide insights from MIS data to guide operational and strategic decisions. 
3. Business Partnering 
• Work closely with business teams to understand drivers of performance. 
• Provide actionable insights to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize 
resource allocation. 
• Support product and loan pricing analysis, including potential rate scenarios. 
4. Governance & Compliance 
• Ensure financial reporting aligns with regulatory requirements and internal 
policies. 
• Support audits by preparing reconciliations, documentation, and system 
extracts. 
• Monitor data integrity and compliance with internal controls.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) is an advantage 

Requirements

• Experience in financial analysis, MIS, or business analytics (typically 3–5 years) 
• Familiarity with banking systems and regulatory reporting preferred

Characteristics

• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools). 
• Expertise in MIS reporting, data visualization, and dashboard creation. 
• Ability to synthesize financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights. 
• Knowledge of banking/financial services operations, especially loan portfolios. 
• Strong communication skills for presenting to management and boards. 
• Attention to detail, governance mindset, and ability to work cross-functionally.
