Summary

Estate Engineer is responsible for supervising all engineering and technical operations within the company, including farm and Agave activities. They oversee technicians, plan and monitor equipment service and inspection schedules, and ensure machinery efficiency to meet production targets.

The role also involves maintaining clean and safe workshop and farm environments, training machine operators for multitasking, preparing regular work plans and progress reports, and providing technical guidance to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant operations across the estate.

Responsibilities

  • To supervise all engineering and technical activities within the company, including Agave operations.
  • To supervise and plan work assignments for all technicians.
  • To inspect and ensure the quality and efficiency of all technical work carried out both within and outside the company, in accordance with company instructions.
  • To prepare and closely monitor a service schedule for all equipments within the farm.
  • To prepare an inspection schedule for all machinery and equipment in the company and provide technical advice accordingly.
  • To prepare and implement a weekly work plan.
  • To ensure that the godown environment remains clean at all times, including spraying weeds, collecting tins, scrap metal, nylon, and other waste, and ensuring proper arrangement of equipment and machinery.
  • To ensure that the workshop environment is kept clean at all times before and after work, including the transformer area, workshop toilets, puncture repair area, vehicle and tractor parking areas, proper handling and disposal of used oil, prevention of uncontrolled oil spillage, clearing unwanted vegetation, filling potholes with hardcore, and leveling surfaces.
  • To train and supervise machine operators to perform multiple tasks so that they can fill positions that may become vacant due to leave, resignation, or termination.
  • To ensure that production targets are achieved by improving and supervising the efficiency of machines such as Corona, Kayamba, and Press machines.
  • To respond promptly and supervise fire vessels operations on the farm whenever such incidents occur.
  • To ensure that all employees within the department are motivated and perform their duties efficiently.
  • To prepare and submit daily work progress reports every morning and evening.
  • To perform any other duty as may be assigned to you by the management in linewith your profession.

Education and Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Engineering or any related field

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with farm equipment and machinery such as tractors and bulldozers, including operations.
  • Strong understanding of farm water systems.
