Monday, one of the bad days for many workers especially those who do not love their works. A lot of people hate Mondays. Do you also hate your Monday? If the answer is yes then you probably have a habit of not  planning your week before you start it. Planning your week on weekends helps you to start your week with energy and a great desire to accomplish your week and reach your goals. A lot of people use their weekends on issues that are not important to their life. It is true that sometimes we need to relax and have fun with our friends and families but that should not stop us from planning our week. How to plan your week for success?

Set a time for yourself every weekend for reflection and self-analysis; you can’t move forward if you don’t know where you came from. Knowing where you came from and knowing where you are heading is important for your success in work or business. It is important to set at least two hours on Sunday or Saturday to reflect on your life and analyze the past week. Self-analysis helps you to realize the success and failure of the past week and it will help you to know what to do and what not to do in the coming week.

Prioritize your tasks; when planning your to-do list it is vital to focus on important tasks first. You have to use the principle of “first things come first”. Arrange your day in such a way that those important tasks are considered first before other less important tasks. For instance, reading books is important but when planning your schedule it is better to start with those tasks that are more important for your success in work or in business. Also, remember to have time to relax and engage yourself with people. Just focusing on your schedule without having time to relax will make you less productive because as humans we need time to connect with others and learn from them.

Reduce the use of social media; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Whatsapp are very powerful social media and sometimes if you fail to control them then they can be time-wasters in your day. It is important to connect with others but they should not control and take your time to do important tasks. Social media are addictive as drugs and so it is essential to have a proper time to visit your social media and not every time. It is not advisable to check your notification early in the morning as it can affect your whole mood of the day. Productivity at your workplace or business is greatly affected by your use of social media. Productivity tends to be low if your precious time is used on Instagram pages or Whatsapp statuses. Those who are able to control their use of social media have a great possibility of succeeding in their fields. Proper use of social media will positively impact your week and make it productive
