Summary

The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the sales strategy, managing day-to-day marketing initiatives, and ensuring effective customer engagement to support business growth. This role plays a crucial part in achieving revenue targets, improving brand visibility, and leading the sales and marketing team to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Assist in developing and implementing sales and marketing plans in line with company goals.

  • Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to inform tactics and identify business opportunities.

  • Support budget preparation and control marketing and sales-related expenditure

Sales Management:

  • Lead the sales team to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets.

  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities.

  • Propose and implement incentive schemes to motivate the sales force.

  • Track and report on sales performance, KPIs, and customer acquisition metrics.

  • Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

Marketing Operations:

  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives to generate leads and drive customer acquisition.

  • Manage the marketing team in creating compelling marketing collateral, content, and messaging to support sales efforts and enhance brand visibility.

  • Monitor marketing ROI and effectiveness, and adjust strategies and tactics as needed to optimize results.

Customer & Market Engagement:

  • Represent the company at trade shows, seminars, and client meetings.

  • Deliver presentations on products and services to clients and partners.

  • Support customer relationship management efforts for retention and satisfaction.

Collaboration:

  • Work cross-functionally with product, operations, and service teams to ensure alignment.

  • Provide feedback to leadership on market insights, risks, and opportunities.

Team Supervision:

  • Manage, train, and support sales and marketing team members.

  • Foster a results-oriented culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.

  • Conduct performance reviews and identify development needs.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achievement of sales and marketing targets

  • Market share growth

  • ROI on marketing activities

  • Number of new customer acquisitions and partner engagements

  • Sales pipeline growth and conversion rates

  • Team performance and retention

  • Execution of planned campaigns and initiatives

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration or any other related field

Requirements

 

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in sales and marketing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach

  • Ability to analyse data and market trends

  • High integrity and a results-driven attitude

  • Familiarity with insurance industry is an added advantage
