Chief Executive Officer
Summary
The incumbent will oversee the operation of the entire construction company, answering to the board of directors, provide a strategic and structured operational management plan which ensures smooth day-to-day operations of the business. Over time, the individual will be the company's public face, meeting with high-profile clients and bringing in new business.
Responsibilities
- Hands on supervising of all daily operations of the company
- Delivering quality work that satisfies customers
- Build a profitable construction business by accurately bidding on projects
- Managing costs and expenses together with the CFO
- Working closely with the board of directors on all matters related to the business
- Preparing and presenting reports/budgets to the board of directors
- Developing and implementing strategies, procedures, and business plans needed to enhance company growth
- Taking full responsibility for delivery of the construction phase
- Maintain high safety standards
- Setting performance goals and KPIs
- Engage and motivate the team to achieve process and programme improvements
- Drive quality and process improvement
- Ensure that insurers, funders, clients and building inspectors are fully satisfied.
- Identify future resource requirements
Education and Qualifications
- University degree (MBA)
- Minimum 10 years’ executive-level experience in managing organizations with operation, planning and construction responsibilities

- Knowledge and experience in the construction & housing industry
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
- Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles such as knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting
- Proven negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Valid C driver license
- Solid ethics
