Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Aqua Culture Specialist with a focus on tilapia farming to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to establish and maintain strong relationships with tilapia farmers, providing them with expert guidance on best practices for tilapia aquaculture and selling them high-quality feed products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of tilapia farming techniques, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting sustainable aquaculture practices.

Responsibilities

Farm Visits and Consultation:

  • Conduct regular visits to tilapia farms to assess their operations and offer expert advice on best practices for tilapia aquaculture.
  • Provide farmers with recommendations on feed management, water quality, disease prevention, and other aspects of tilapia farming to optimize productivity and sustainability.

Feed Sales and Product Promotion:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for tilapia farmers, promoting and selling our high-quality feed products tailored to their specific needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for increasing feed sales and expanding our customer base within the tilapia aquaculture industry.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tilapia farmers, understanding their individual needs and challenges.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to farmers, providing ongoing support and assistance to help them achieve success in their tilapia farming operations.

Training and Education:

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for tilapia farmers on topics such as feed management, fish health, and sustainable aquaculture practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in tilapia farming research and technology, sharing relevant information with farmers to improve their operations.

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Collect and analyse data from tilapia farms to monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data insights to develop customized recommendations for farmers and refine our feed products to meet their evolving needs.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in tilapia aquaculture, with a strong understanding of farming techniques, feed management, and water quality requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with farmers and build long-term relationships.
  • Sales experience in the aquaculture industry, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, with a passion for promoting sustainable aquaculture practices.
