Summary

The TVET Engineers/Technicians Apprenticeship Programme is designed to provide practical work experience and skill enhancement to TVET graduates. This role aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, preparing graduates for successful careers in engineering and technical fields.

Responsibilities

 

Technical Training and Development:

  • Participate in hands-on training sessions and workshops.
  • Work on real-world projects under the guidance of experienced engineers and technicians.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.

Departmental Rotations:

  • Rotate through different departments, gaining exposure to various aspects of engineering and technical work.
  • Learn about different technologies, tools, and methodologies used in the industry.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives within each department.

Project Involvement

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support project goals.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Mentorship and Supervision:

  • Work closely with assigned mentors and supervisors to receive guidance and feedback.
  • Participate in regular progress reviews and evaluations.
  • Develop personal and professional goals with the help of mentors.

Professional Development:

  • Attend seminars, conferences, and training sessions relevant to the field.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
  • Network with professionals in the field to build valuable connections.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of work activities and project progress.
  • Prepare and present reports 

 

Education and Qualifications

  • Recent graduate from a TVET institution or university, specializing in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong academic background with a focus on practical and technical skills.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
