Privileged Access Management Officer
Summary
The PAM Officer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of privileged access controls within the organization. This role is critical in preventing unauthorized access and ensuring the security and integrity of sensitive information.
Responsibilities
Privileged Access Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain the PAM program, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and monitor privileged access to critical systems, applications, and data, ensuring only authorized personnel have access.
- Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and standards related to privileged access management.
Access Controls and Security:
- Implement and manage PAM tools and technologies to automate and secure the management of privileged accounts.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of privileged access to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with privileged access, implementing controls to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide evidence of compliance and address any findings or recommendations.
Training and Awareness:
- Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on the importance of privileged access management and security best practices.
- Create and distribute communications regarding policy changes, security incidents, and best practices for privileged access management.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with IT, Security, Compliance, and Audit teams to ensure a cohesive approach to managing privileged access.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding PAM policies, procedures, and incidents.
- Participate in security projects and initiatives, providing expertise on privileged access management.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in identity and access management, with a focus on privileged access management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of PAM principles, access control models, and security best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or related are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
