Summary

To lead and manage the Human Resources function across all divisions and regional offices of the company. The HR Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the company’s business goals. This role will ensure the attraction, development, and retention of talent while promoting a positive and compliant working environment.

Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement the company’s HR strategy, aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide HR leadership across all divisions and regional offices.
  • Ensure workforce planning supports operational needs.

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Oversee job descriptions, advertising, interviewing, and hiring across the company.
  • Develop a talent pipeline for key positions.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture.
  • Address employee grievances and handle disciplinary processes as per labor laws.
  • Promote staff engagement, motivation, and team-building initiatives.

Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs and implement learning programs.
  • Support career development and succession planning.
  • Organize induction and orientation for new staff.

HR Policies & Compliance

  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain HR records, contracts, and documentation.

Performance Management

  • Implement and oversee performance appraisal systems.
  • Guide managers in setting KPIs and tracking staff performance.
  • Link performance management with reward and development initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Manage payroll coordination and benefits administration.
  • Review salary structures and recommend competitive compensation packages.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience working in multi-location companies or travel/tourism/hospitality sectors is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in digital tools relevant to HR operations.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
