Summary

Lead the monthly business cycle for the southern zone (monthly management reporting & forecasting process including Zero based Budgeting process)

Responsibilities

Monthly Cycle

• Deliver FP&A Monthly Cycle to ensure all key performance deliverables are met.

• Work with all relevant functions to gain a thorough understanding of business performance

• Work with countries on key performance step change projects

• Prepare presentation of monthly results for Zone Mancom and presentation of Zone leadership team to global CEO and CFO

• Drive Finance Excellence Project to improve role of FP&A and support Business Units

• Lead the optimization and improvement of standard management reporting across the Business Units include Revenue Management initiatives

• Continuous digitization of the monthly cycle process ZBB

• Responsible for Full Africa Zone ZBB Management, and alignment with Procurement & Leads from the other functions (Marketing, Sales, Supply, People, Legal and Corporate Affairs, etc).

• Perform overall review of ZBB Packages for Zone at month end to understand variances across packages. Deep-dive overruns (if any) to determine if any synergies/budget is at risk. Understand reasons for savings. Prepare month end ZBB deck for presentation to Zone CEO and VP Finance.

• Perform Latest Estimate (LE) process for the Zone on a monthly basis for submission to Global. Collate risks and determine if any savings are bankable.

• Conduct annual ZBB business cycle for the Zone. Develop 1YP and budget base assumptions: - Combine recent performance and benchmarks with planned initiatives to build base assumptions - Develop and continuously improve model at a comprehensive level of detail - Link business KPIs expected evolution to financial targets - Track major project initiatives and report impacts to 1YP / budget costs

• Lead ZBB deliverables with different stakeholders such as Zone Package Owners and Procurement Teams at the Zone Level.

• Drive the execution of ZBB in the Africa Zone i.e. policies localization and revision, initiatives tracking, tracking monitoring responsibilities, etc

• Responsible for the overall delivery of Zone BU ZBB initiatives with VP Finance, Package Owners and Entity Owners.

• Identify Best Practice in expenses management and share in-Zone

Education and Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or a Bachelor's degree and equivalent experience. CA , CIMA or MBA strongly preferred

Requirements

3-4 years' experience in business environment ; + years' experience managing people

• Business processes knowledge including strategy and finance strongly preferred. Proficient in understanding accounting and financial statements

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Syspro , Cognos and SAP

• Fluent in English. Skill and Behavior

• Excellent Leadership, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills. Capability to constructively interact with and challenge senior colleagues in the different countries/Business Units.

• Change management skills to support significant process changes that affect a major portion of the organization.

• Effective communication skills with all levels in the organization (Global and Zone Levels).
