Finance Business Partner
Summary
The Finance Business Partner will act as a key advisor and strategic partner to the business, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making across Malt International’s manufacturing operations. The role bridges finance and operations, ensuring financial integrity while driving performance, cost efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide value-adding financial insights to support business decision-making.
- Support commercial decisions, pricing models, and profitability analysis (including Trade Marketing).
- Partner with operations teams to monitor cost efficiency, identify savings opportunities.
- Coordinate and control the preparation of annual business plans and financial budgets.
- Perform regular variance analysis and reconciliations against prior year, budget, and rolling forecasts.
- Oversee liquidity planning, cashflow forecasting, working capital management, and treasury activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, planning, and analysis processes.
- Provide financial support for strategic initiatives such as capital investments, product launches, and expansion projects.
Accounting & Compliance
- Maintain and ensure accuracy and completeness of the General Ledger.
- Oversee and manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with Group deadlines.
- Support interim and statutory audits, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Manage tax compliance, including VAT, WHT, and statutory filings, while advising on tax implications and optimization strategies.
- Prepare and submit draft returns for review and approval.
- Provide guidance on transfer pricing implications as part of the Group.
Manufacturing Finance & Cost Control
- Collaborate with the warehouse team on semi-annual stock counts and ensure accurate inventory r
- Oversee product costing, margin analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Drive cost control initiatives and provide financial analysis to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Advise on tax implications of new business initiatives, including regional expansion.
Business Partnering
- Partner with Plant Management and Operations teams to link financial outcomes to operational performance.
- Translate financial data into business insights that drive informed decision-making.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare and present MIS and financial reports, delivering actionable insights to management.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial insights to Group and local leadership.
Team Supervision & Collaboration
- Supervise and develop the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.
- Coordinate closely with other departments to ensure alignment on financial processes and business objectives.

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; master’s degree is an advantage.

Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
Requirements

Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in finance, with strong exposure to manufacturing and business
partnering.

Strong technical expertise in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.

Solid knowledge of IFRS, cost accounting, and compliance.

Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Proven ability to balance strategic partnering with operational finance responsibilities.
