Summary

The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for providing strategic direction and executive oversight of all engineering and technical operations across the company. Reporting to the Managing Director, the CTO leads the development and execution of the Company's engineering strategy, ensuring that technical capabilities, project delivery, innovation, and operational excellence are aligned with the organisation's long-term business objectives.

The role provides executive leadership over multidisciplinary engineering functions, including telecommunications, fibre optic infrastructure, electrical systems, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, renewable energy, and other specialised technical services. The CTO is accountable for establishing technical governance frameworks, engineering standards, quality assurance systems, and project delivery methodologies that ensure engineering excellence, regulatory compliance, health and safety, and client satisfaction across all projects.

Responsibilities

Technical strategy
  • Develop and execute the engineering strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Establish engineering standards and technical governance.
  • Drive innovation and technology adoption.

Project delivery
  • Oversee multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Review technical designs, methodologies and proposals.
  • Manage technical risks, quality and performance.
    Result: Projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification.
Leadership
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams.
  • Develop technical capability and succession.
  • Support business development and key client engagements.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture , Project Management or related discipline.

  • Master's degree is an advantage.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Technical Projects with at least 5 years in senior leadership

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
