Assistant Engineer: Electrical
Summary
The Assistant Engineer: Electrical is responsible for implementing the maintenance policy defined by the Technical Director and ensuring compliance, availability and optimal operation of airport Electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Execution: Lead the technicians to perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and inspections electrical systems in the terminal buildings
Tools and PPE Management: Identify required tools and PPE required by the technician to perform inspection and maintenance for the system make sure its available
Maintenance Inspection and Task Monitoring: Ensure all maintenance inspections, daily log activities and tasks are being done efficiently, accurately and on time
Maintenance Reporting and CMMS Management: Ensure all maintenance report being dispatched and delivered to the HOD by email and through CMMS on time and full implementation of maintenance activities through computerized Maintenance management
Inventory and Material Coordination: Coordinate with the stores follow up in the inventory threshold and raise request for materials and spare parts to the HOD for approvals
Maintenance Analysis and Issue Escalation: Analyse maintenance findings and ensure immediate escalation of major technical issues which present noncompliance or affect airport operations
Safety Compliance Implementation: Follow and implement all safety requirements for the inspection and maintenance implementations
Technician Performance Management: Close performance for technicians and take disciplinary actions if needed
Field Coordination and Policy Compliance: Coordinate field activities with relevant departments and ensure respect for company policies and procedures
Continuous Improvement and Communication: Propose modifications for task lists and inspection forms and communicate internally on the progress of maintenance work

Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronics engineering or equivalent
- Additional training in electrical systems, or airport infrastructure is an added advantage
Requirements
- At least 2 years' proven experience in electrical and Electronics equipment maintenance teams, ideally in an airport environment.
- Experience in airport environment or electrical is an added advantage
Characteristics
Proficiency in Swahili, English is an added advantage
