Summary

A dynamic Consultancy Advisory Associate will be responsible for  supporting the institution's CMSA licensed Advisory Business line which includes raising capital & valuations as Transaction advisors and Sponsored stockbrokers. 

Responsibilities

  • Working in Capital Markets Advisory Business line development and operations.
  • Supporting Head of Brokerage and Advisory in Closing Mandates in Capital issuances, listings, and valuation services.
  • Working on Company listings like IPOs and Rights Issues and Bond issuances from Corporate to Sukuk bonds.
  • Working with the rest of team on M&A advisory
  • Conduct due diligence on companies and industries.
  • Carrying out valuations of company shares and analyzing their business performance.
  • Keeping up to date with political, financial, and economic changes, and their possible impact on the economy and listed companies. Keep up to date with market developments, new investment products and all other areas that can affect the markets.
  •  Putting out Performance reports on listed companies, when their financial results are published ie: Writing financial research summaries and reports.
  • Making investment recommendations based on investment research and an understanding of the economic situation.
  • Regularly meeting with company managements, stock market investors and fund managers.
  • keeping up to date with financial regulations and ensuring compliance to them.
  • Regularly meeting with and providing information to institution's fund managers and other institutional clients that includes summaries of research, investment ideas, key events in the market as well as key company or economy drivers for the near future.

Education and Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration. A Master's degree would be advantageous.
  • The candidate should thrive in a team environment.
  • Tanzanian nationality is preferred.

Requirements

  • Experience ranging from 2 to 4 years in financial consultation is preferred

Characteristics

 

  • Proficiency in financial valuation, analytics, and Excel.
  • Strong data analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Prior consulting experience is advantageous.
  • Comfortable with numerical analysis.

 

Reporting To

The Head of Brokerage and Advisory.
