Earthworks Foreman
Summary
We are seeking an Earthworks Foreman to lead and support our site operations. The ideal candidate will oversee field crews, manage equipment, and ensure that grading and excavation work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication with project stakeholders, and the ability to interpret construction plans and translate them into actionable field tasks.
Responsibilities
- Supervising crews and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Managing equipment and executing excavation plans
- Maintaining owner/contractor relations and crew coordination
- Setting elevations for grading and attending project-related meetings
- Interpreting and explaining plans for construction of new projects
- Partnering with the Project Manager/Superintendent to coordinate work schedules of all subcontractors
- Maintaining and securing company materials, supplies, tools, and equipment
Education and Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school preferable or higher
Requirements
- 3+ years experience with road construction Companies;
- Good Communication and leadership skills;
Characteristics
- Fluent in both English and Swahili;
- Team work, dedicated and honest behavior.
