Summary

The Data Centre Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and delivering reliable IP and data centre network solutions. The role will lead customer requirement clarification, prepare detailed Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation, develop executable technical solutions, troubleshoot complex network issues, and support the successful delivery of medium- and large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

 

• Network Design
  • Design end-to-end network architectures based on customer and project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for networks comprising more than 100 network elements.
  • Ensure network designs are scalable, reliable and aligned with applicable technical standards.
• Solution Development
  • Lead the clarification and analysis of customer requirements.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into practical and executable solutions.
  • Present and explain proposed solutions to customers and relevant project stakeholders.
• Network Troubleshooting
  • Apply strong IP network architecture knowledge to identify, analyse and resolve network issues efficiently.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and develop appropriate corrective and preventive solutions.
• Technical Delivery
  • Configure, implement and support core IP network technologies and protocols, including MPLS, SRv6, IPv6, BGP, IGP (OSPF/IS-IS) and various VPN technologies.
  • Support projects involving access networks, data centre networks and enterprise networks.
• Project and Team Leadership
  • Serve as the Technical Lead for assigned projects.
  • Lead technical teams in delivering projects in accordance with the approved scope, schedule and quality requirements.
  • Develop and manage project delivery plans, monitor progress and address technical delivery risks.

 

Education and Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Telecommunications, Communications Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as HCIE, HCIP or CCIE are preferred.

 

Requirements

 

• At least five years of relevant experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar technical role.
• Experience in delivering medium- and large-scale network projects is preferred.
• Previous experience serving as a Project Technical Lead is highly desirable.
• Experience in access networks, data centre networks or enterprise network projects is preferred.
