Summary

The candidate must be well experienced within the Oil and Gas industry, specifically 
within construction methods, pre-commissioning and commissioning. Knowledge 
must be of an international setting and a deep understanding of leading oil and gas 
organizational internal management systems, particularly during project transitional 
stages. 

Responsibilities

  •  Able to mentor and guide various project disciplines and contractors regarding the most feasible, 
    efficient and safe methods which must be applied throughout various project stages  
  •  Understand key risks, methods used to mitigate project risks and understand how to develop 
    management systems to address such risk to project and stakeholders 
  • Knowledge and understanding regarding IOGP LSR, and the systems which must be put in place to 
    ensure requirements are met  
  •  Familiar with and able to support various project disciplines specifically on financed projects  
  • Must be able to develop and deliver specific training programs for further development of personnel 
    specifically in Construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, Quality and Safety management 
    systems 
  •  Must be able to develop a Deming process within key disciplines and ensure such processes are 
    implemented 
  • Must Understand and deep routed knowledge in the development, implementation and monitoring 
    of PTW systems during Pre commissioning and commissioning  

Education and Qualifications

 

  •  Technically Qualified Professional – predominantly in International Oil and Gas operations   
  • Tertiary Qualification such the equivalent to a NEBOSH Diploma  
  • Qualification in ISO 31000, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 
  •  Fully conversant with major MS office software  

Requirements

  •  10 years international major project experience within Oil and Gas sectors – min 
  • 7 – 10 Years working in developing countries in Oil and Gas – in similar role. 
  •  Setting up and deploying key management systems in major projects. EPCmC 
  • Fully conversant with eVision software, systems and implementation 
  • Must be familiar with various root cause analysis software and programs used in O&G industry 

Characteristics

  •  Oil and Gas or other heavy industry related experience  
  • Experience of working in Africa and Major International Oil and Gas projects 
  • Pipeline construction experience as well as off-shore and Processing Plant
