Communications Officer
Summary
Communications Officer will be responsible for development and management of organization’s communication strategies to enhance its visibility and engagement, create and manage social media content, write compelling stories, and produce high-quality photos and videos during field visits. Also will be responsible in design of basic graphics, support event promotions, and ensure brand consistency across all communication channels, monitor audience engagement, collaborate with internal teams, and maintain digital assets.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Social Media Management
- Develop and manage social media content across various platforms.
- Create compelling written, visual, and multimedia content to enhance brand visibility.
- Monitor social media trends and audience engagement to optimize content strategy.
- Assist in drafting press releases, newsletters, and other communication
Fieldwork
- Conduct field visits to gather stories, capture high-quality photos/videos, and engage with stakeholders.
- Create impactful visual and written narratives to showcase the organization’s impact.
- Collaborate with teams to document success stories and testimonials.
Graphic Design
- Design basic graphics using tools like Canva or Photoshop.
- Maintain and update digital assets, including websites and social media pages.
Events & Campaigns Support
- Support event planning and promotional campaigns.

Education and Qualifications
- A degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Requirements
- Proven experience in social media management and digital communications.
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools).
- Content creation.
