Summary

The Senior Associate - Legal Business Solutions will be responsible for conducting comprehensive legal research and analysis on various issues, providing strategic legal advice, and drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents. They will stay updated on legal and regulatory developments, ensure compliance deadlines are met, and maintain accurate legal records.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on various legal issues including regulatory, compliance and industry-specific issues.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on various matters subject to review by the Manager.
  • Draft and review a variety of contracts and legal documents in compliance with relevant laws.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory developments and advise clients accordingly.
  • Keeping track of regulatory compliance deadlines and making sure the statutory documents are prepared and filed on time.
  • Maintain accurate and organised legal records and documentation for clients.
  • Assist clients in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist the Manager to track billable hours and ensure timely billing and fees recovery.
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and regulators.

Education and Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognised institution
  • Chartered Secretary or International Association of Privacy Professionals students will be an added advantage.

Requirements

  • Registered advocate of the High Court of Tanzania with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
  • Good understanding and experience working with regulatory bodies
