Summary

Our client is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years experience in quantity surveying, ideally within construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects. This role will involve preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, conducting site valuations, and collaborating closely with clients and project teams to ensure cost control and provide regular financial updates. Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift) is required, alongside strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure costs are controlled effectively.
  • Conduct regular site valuations and assessments to track project progress and expenditure.
  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to align on cost expectations and project scope.
  • Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders on budget status, cost overruns, and project savings.
  • Assess and manage any project changes that impact budget or schedule.
  • Identify and recommend cost-saving measures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, policies, and relevant accreditation requirements.
  • Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift) for estimation and cost tracking.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with all project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and clients.

 

Education and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or any related field.

Requirements

  • A minimum experience of 5 years in quantity surveying, preferably with experience in construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure.
