Summary

Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department within a specific Business Segment, Business Unit or Department. He/she develops and implements and overseas all aspects of HR policies, programs, and practices to attract, retain, and develop a high-performing workforce to their specific Business Segment, Business Unit or Department. He/she is also responsible for managing all aspects of the human resources function within the organization, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and regulations to their specific Business Segment, Business Unit or Department.

HR Manager will have a double reporting, functionally to the Group Head of HR and operationally to the Business Segment Head or Group Department Head of their coverage area.

Responsibilities

The overall responsibility of a HR Manager in this role is to add value to the across the Group and its Business Clusters from the aspect of staffing, training and development, motivation, and maintenance. In order to achieve this the below must be carried out to high standard.

  • Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and practices that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Develop and oversee recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and interviewing, to attract and retain a high-performing workforce.
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, incentives to attract and retain employees.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage HR information systems to ensure accurate and timely data management and reporting.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to HR staff members and other managers within the organization on HR-related matters.
  • Develop and manage HR budgets, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures.
  • Stay current on HR best practices and industry trends, and incorporate them into HR policies, programs, and practices.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Take adequate support from Group Head of HR and report to and provide information/data as required to be submitted to the Central HR.
  • Develop disciplinary procedures, escalatory procedures, complaint handling mechanism etc.

Education and Qualifications

Academic & Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Post graduate degree/qualification preferential.
  • CIPD qualification preferential.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, programs, and practices, as well as employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and build effective relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Very competent Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills.
  • Exceptional spoken and written English.
  • Data Analysis and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial resources.
  • Proficient in HR information systems and other software programs.

Reporting To

  • Functionally to the Group Head of HR
  • Operationally to the Business Segment Head or Group Department Head
