Summary

Our client is looking for a Health and Safety Officer, who will ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and international regulations related to Environment, Occupational Health, Worker Safety, Quality Management, and Social Responsibility. The role involves developing and implementing internal standards, advising departments on accident prevention, and promoting safe working conditions while safeguarding the company’s reputation within the community. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and international regulations regarding Environment, Occupational Health, and Worker Safety.
  • Develop and implement internal safety standards and procedures in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Advise various departments on best practices for accident prevention and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor workplace conditions and identify areas for improvement in safety and health practices.
  • Promote employee well-being and maintain adequate working conditions.
  • Conduct training programs to raise employee awareness of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and the community regarding health and safety matters.
  • Stay updated on relevant environmental and safety legislation and standards.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to health and safety initiatives and compliance.

 

Education and Qualifications

Training in Safety Engineering or related field.

Requirements

Minimum experience of 3 years in the role or in similar positions.
