Responsibilities
- Strategic Programme Support
- Actively participate in strategic discussions and initiatives that enhance the programme's offerings and overall impact.
- Provide ideas and feedback to ensure the programme evolves to meet the needs of participants and stakeholders.
- Alumni Network Development
- Help grow and activate the alumni network, creating opportunities for meaningful connections among GenEmers.
- Organize and support networking sessions, mentorship programmes, and alumni-driven initiatives to foster engagement.
- Advocacy and Representation
- Act as a representative of alumni, ensuring their voices and experiences shape the programme’s future direction.
- Advocate for Generation Empower’s mission by promoting the programme to potential partners, supporters, and participants.
- Resource Mobilization
- Collaborate with other board members to identify and secure resources that support programme initiatives and alumni activities.
- Promote sustainable practices that ensure long-term benefits for the programme and its community.
- Mentorship and Community Engagement
- Serve as a mentor to current participants, offering guidance and encouragement to help them achieve their goals.
- Build bridges between alumni, participants, and professional opportunities to foster mutual growth.
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Help assess the impact of alumni initiatives and program activities, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports highlighting successes, challenges, and future opportunities.
Education and Qualifications
- Alumni of Generation Empower: Completion of any cohort is required.
- Passion for Giving Back: A commitment to supporting the program and its participants as a way of paying forward the opportunities you’ve gained.
- Leadership and Initiative: Proven ability to lead projects, inspire others, and contribute to team success.
- Professionalism and Communication: Strong communication skills to engage with diverse audiences, including alumni, participants, and stakeholders.
- Availability: Willingness to volunteer your time for quarterly meetings, events, and other activities as needed.
