Finance Manager

Responsible for the quality and accuracy of the financial reporting from affiliates; responsible for the preparation of analytical reports and monthly commentary; responsible for coordination on business planning, budgeting, accounting, and auditing issues
Responsibilities
- Compilation and review of financial reporting for the Company, including monthly results, budgeting, and cash-flow forecasting.
- Implementation and enforcement of Financial policies and procedures.
- Monitoring of the adequacy of the level of internal financial controls at affiliate level.
- Monitoring compliance with locally applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitoring the financial performance of affiliates and recommending remedial actions to local Management.
- Assist local management in identifying business risks and growth opportunities.
- Monitoring compliance with local tax, treasury and dividend policies, and ensuring Group Treasury and Tax policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Monitoring and follow up on Internal Audit recommendations. Coordinate and ensure timely compliance with annual external audits requirements and statutory accounts preparation
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounts or Finance from recognized University or Colleges, MBA,
- Certified Public Accountants (CPA), or equivalent is an added advantage
Requirements
- Atleast 10 years of experience in financial management such as developing and maintaining budgets and cash flows, overseeing creditors, debtors and statutory compliance.
- Strong planning and organisational skills and an understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Reporting To
Reports directly to the Managing Director with a dotted line to the Regional Financial Controller East Africa
