Construction Manager
Summary
The Construction Manager will plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. He/she will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the construction site including buildings, infrastructure, and amenities.
- Review the project’s construction in-depth to schedule deliverables and achieve the estimated costs
- Oversee all onsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Review the work progress on a daily basis
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Negotiate terms of new agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure quality construction standards and use the proper construction techniques
- Create and manage a dedicated team for specific on-site operations.
- Responsibility for inspections including but not limited to structural & MEP.
- Work closely with architects and engineers to establish the requirements
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
Requirements
- Minimum 5-year experience in a similar position of construction
